UC Libraries Services in the New Normal

These are the services offered by the University of the Cordilleras Libraries under the new normal.



Online Library Instruction

Instructions:

  1. Currently enrolled students and UC employees are eligible to avail of this service.
  2. The goal of library instruction is to provide readily available information to help and guide patrons on how to navigate and use the library's resources such as:
    • How to use the Online Public Access Catalog (web OPAC)
    • Infographics on how to search and access information
    • Online research resources tutorials
  3. To avail of this service, visit the UC library web page

Online Reference (Ask a Librarian)

The service includes consultation and providing factual answers to questions related to patron's research. Queries received shall be monitored and responded to.

Instructions:

  1. Email your Librarian service
    • UC Libraries email address is [email protected]
    • Use your UC email account in sending queries.
  2. Call your Librarian service
    • Call UC Libraries at (074) 442-3316 + Local Number 123; 269; 147 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
    • Personal information shall be provided:
      • Name (Surname, Given name)
      • Course and year level
      • Contact Number

Online Borrowing of Books for UC Employees

Instructions:

  1. fill-out the Library Materials Form.
  2. The borrowing privileges apply.
  3. Materials may be renewed online through email or by phone

  4. The Circulation Policies apply:
    • Library materials requested will be ready one (1) working day from the date of request. The borrower will be notified via email or text message once the materials are ready for pick-up.
    • All requested materials will be picked up at the Centralized Circulation Area, 5F Main Library.
    • Pick-up time is from Mondays to Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please present your UC I.D. card upon pick-up. A representative (co-university employee only) may get the material/s on behalf of the patron providing that an authorization letter will be presented.
    • You may return the borrowed library materials to the Centralized Circulation Area, 5F Main Library (Mondays to Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) or through the library's Drop Box.

Online Document Delivery

Instructions:

  1. Currently enrolled students and UC employees are eligible to avail of this service.
  2. Online Document Delivery sends documents such as scanned articles from journals, downloaded articles from e-journals, a chapter of books, and research/theses abstracts available in UC Libraries based on information/research topics needed subject to relevant conservation approval and copyright permission. These documents requested will be sent electronically through email.
  3. To avail of this online service, refer to Online Document Delivery Form and fill-out this form for us to process your request.
  4. A maximum of two (2) requests/queries shall be accommodated per day.
