Programs

The BSBA program uses an integrated approach to provide the foundation of different functional areas of business. Each major is deigned to develop knowledge in business, skills, values, and attitudes to students to effectively lead an organization and achieve their desired results.

The program applies the basic concepts on functional areas of business and employs these concepts to various entrepreneurial situations. Through the combination of classroom training and experiential learning. BS Entrepreneurship helps aspiring entrepreneurs acquire the skills, values, and attitudes towards success.


Graduate Programs

The Master in Business Administration prepares students to assume leadership and administrative positions in a dynamic and competitive business industry. The curriculum is designed to provide leadership knowledge and skills and analytical ability in different core business principles.

The Master in Development Management (MDM) program is designed to provide a framework in understanding today’s key development problems.

The program combines coursework from various disciplines and fields and experiential learning to bridge the gap between theory and practice in order to design strategic solutions that create and sustain impact in the community.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Management (PhD Mgmt) program integrates different perspectives on the study of management, organizations and their members. It focuses on the goals of advancing theoretical knowledge on business and organizational strategies and building strong leadership skills.

The College of Business Administration aims to develop and enhance world-class graduates in the field of business administration imbued with social responsibilities and humane values. The college has been contributing to the development of skilled professionals as evidenced by graduates employed in government service and private institutions including practitioners in their respective fields of specialization. The college offers: Digital Marketing, Business Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Entrepreneurship and Office Administration .

Mission

CBA's mission is to sustain peak performance in training and develop students well-equipped with functional knowledge and relevant skills, technology-adept and innovative who are competitive locally and globally and imbued with humane values and germane work ethic.

Milestones

1946

• Opening of courses for Commerce, Engineering, Education, Liberal Arts and Law.

1950

• Government recognition for a four-year Bachelor of Science in Commerce (BSC) program.

• First and lone graduate of the college under BSC degree.

1961

• Government recognition for Junior Secretarial Science Course (JSC) and General Clerical Course (GCC) and Bachelor of Science in Secretarial Administration (BSSA).

1970

• The College reached a thousand marks (1,038) in terms of enrollees.

1978

• First Graduate for Bachelor of Science in Secretarial Administration (BSSA)

1988-1989

• Ladderized Accounting curriculum was designed for students under the Accounting major.

• Yellow Gazette, the first official publication of the college was launched.

1990-1991

• DECS issued Order No. 5 s. 1990 phasing out accounting as a major under BSC, BSBA, and BBA thus, making accounting a separate program, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA).

1992-1993

• The College changed its name from College of Commerce and Secretarial (CCS) to College of Accountancy, Commerce, and Secretarial (CACS).

1993

• A student of the College topped the Stenographers examination conducted by Civil Service Commission.

• The College offered the two-year Computer Science program.

1994-1995

• The College changed its name from College of Accountancy, Commerce, and Secretarial (CACS) to College of Commerce, Accountancy, and Secretarial Science (CCASS).

1999-2000

• The College changed its name from College of Commerce, Accountancy, and Secretarial Science (CCASS) to College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA).

2001-2002

• The College was divided into two, College of Business Administration (CBA) and College of Accountancy.

• The first College in the university to achieve 100% master’s degree among its faculty.

2002-2003

• Level II Re-Accreditation by Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) was granted to the college.

• As a result of vertical articulation, the College have the following programs:

  • a. PhD in Management
  • b. Master in Business Administration (MBA)
  • c. Master in Public Administration (MPA)
  • d. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA)
  • e. Bachelor of Science in Office Management (BSOM)
  • f. Bachelor of Science in Public Administration (BSPA)
  • g. Associate in Office Administration (ACOA)

Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) was included in the offering of the College.

2003-2004

• CBA offered the programs, Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (BSHRM) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism.

2005-2006

• Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism became a separate College.

2007-2008

• Level II Re-Accreditation by Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) was granted to the college.

• Signed MOA with SITEL for Communications and Business Process Outsourcing Trainings.

2008-2009

• 100% Masters Degree holder among faculty members.

• Launching of the SEED Project in partnership with DOLE.

• Launching of Vegetable Organic Day in UC in partnership with Association of Tublay Organic Practitioners (ATOP) as a community extension program of the college in partnership with Project H.E.L.E.N.

• A student from the College won the 2009 National Search for Jr. Vinta of the Philippine Council of Students in Intrapreneurship (formerly The Junior Philippine Council of Management).

2009-2010

• A new vision, mission, and objectives are now guiding the college.

• 100% Masters Degree holder among faculty members.

• Capability Building Program for faculty members for Australian Trade Training College-North Brisbane (ATTCNB) curriculum.

• Faculty Capability Building Programs with FINEX and CITIBANK Foundation.

Partnership with the local government of Tublay, Benguet.

• One of the students of the college joined the Aboitiz Leadership Convention and at the same time won as one of the Ten Outstanding Students in the Philippines (TOSP)-Regional.

• Hosted FINEX Quiz Bee Regional sponsored by JP Morgan Chase.

2010-2011

• New Curricular offering with integrated competency-based curriculum under the Australian Trade Training College-North Brisbane (ATTCNB) for BSBA Program majors in: Business Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, and Business Economics and Research

• International linkage with Australian Trade Training College-North Brisbane (ATTCNB) for the offering of Diploma in Business.

• Students from the college finished their international internship in different companies in Singapore.

• Hosted FINEX Quiz Bee Regional sponsored by JP Morgan Chase.

2011-2012

• Level II Re-Accreditation by Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) was granted to the college.

• Hosted FINEX Quiz Bee Regional sponsored by JP Morgan Chase.

• International linkage with Australian Trade Training College-North Brisbane (ATTCNB) for the offering of Diploma in Business.

2012-2013

• Winner (Top 10) for the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) 2012 for the Greenhouse Project for Association of Tublay Organic Practitioners in Tublay, Benguet for sustainable and responsible organic farming.

• Two students became delegates for the 7th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit.

• Hosted FINEX Quiz Bee Regional sponsored by JP Morgan Chase.

2013-2014

• Enhanced curriculum for Bachelor Science in Office Administration (BSOA).

• Students became delegates for 16th National Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC 2013), 8th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit and Philippine Model Congress.

2014-2015

• Level III Accredited Status by PAASCU for Business Administration Program.

• The college became a champion of the North Luzon Leg for Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition (ICFC 2014) as organized by FINEX and sponsored by JP Morgan Chase.

• A student became a delegate for the 9th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit.

2016-2017

• A student became a delegate of the 11th Aboitiz Future Leaders Business Summit, national finalist for Agora Youth Awards 2017 (Marketing Students of the Year) and one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines, Cordillera Administrative Region.

• International Buddy Program was launched in partnership with 3 different Korean universities.

2017-2018

• Level III Re-Accredited Status by PAASCU for Business Administration Program.

• Level III First Re-Accredited Status by PACUCOA for Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Philosophy in Management Programs.

2018-2019

• Offers Digital Marketing as Major under Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

• Faculty members were trained on establishing and managing the Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Office (INTO) of the University by USAID-STRIDE and DOST-PCIEERD.

• A student became a delegate at National Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC 2019)

2019-2020

• Hosted JP Morgan Chase & Co. 21st Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition North Luzon Leg.

• A student became a delegate at National Ayala Young Leaders Congress (AYLC 2020)
