The BSHM program offers a balanced curriculum that combines theoretical concepts and practical applications to acquire the necessary in-depth knowledge, transferable skills and professional attitude that can be applied to a variety of the required tasks either in rank and file, supervisory, managerial levels of the operations and entrepreneurial roles. The program provides courses leading to majors in culinary and food service management or the hotel and restaurant administration.
The BSTM program provides thorough understanding of the local and global travel, tourism and hospitality environment alongside a broad base of management study, business principles and technical skills through academic projects, experiential learning, and industry immersions which enables graduates to launch a career and immediately be productive in the workplace from entry level to managerial roles. The program offers courses that specialized in travel industry management and events management.
UC CHTM is only the College in the Cordillera that offers a specialization on Events Management.

Milestones
2003
• The University of the Cordilleras’ Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism programs as an adjunct course in the College of Business Administration.
2004
• UC HRM students won Grand Prize Winner for Bread Display Competition during the 1st Food and Drinks Festival Universal by Robina Corporation and 1st Prize for the Best Original Recipe Cooking Contest by Purefoods-Hormel.
2005
• UC’s Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management garnered government recognition by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).
• College of Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism (CHRMT) was created.
• UC CHRMT was awarded Over-all Champion during the 1st Ilocandia Culinary Festival.
• UC CHRMT was awarded as champion during the Century Tuna Culinary Challenge Competition.
• The college was awarded Second Over-all Champion, 2nd HRT Weekend Competitions.
• UC CHRMT was the Culinary Competition Champion, Housekeeping Competition Champion and Flair Tending Competition Champion during the BAHAI Competitions.
2006
• UC CHRMT won 1st and 2nd Place in the Ikebana Competition and in Ryouri: Japanese Cooking Competition.
• The college was awarded 2nd Over-all Champion during the 3rd HRT Weekend Competitions
• UC CHRMT Implemented the Ladderized Curriculum as per E.O 358. The First and only University in CAR who participated.
• The college started facilitating educational tours for HRMT students outside Baguio City.
2007
• The college won 1st and 2nd Place in DOST Food-Wine Pairing and Bartender Competition.
2009
• The college was renamed College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM).
• The college earned Level I accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) for the BS Hospitality Management and BS Tourism Management programs.
• The college also established a partnership with the Australian Trade Training College (ATTC)* in North Brisbane under the Technical and Further Education (TAFE) which is based on the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF).
• UC CHTM students were crowned Mr. HRAB Centennial and garnered also the 1st and 2nd Runner Up for Mr & Ms. HRAB.
• This year was also the Kick-off of the OJT in Singapore program.
2010
• ATTCNB program was embedded in the new curriculum of HTM.
• Student population of the college student reached two thousand and seventy one (2071) which is the highest number of enrolees.
2012
• UC CHTM also became a certified Technical-Vocational Institution (TVI) delivering five (5) programs embedded in the BSHM and BSTM curriculum.
• The college commence the deployment of student interns industry partners outside Baguio located in Sagada, Banaue, La Union, Ilocos, Manila, Subic, Clark, Batangas, Tagayatay, Cebu, Bohol, Palawan and Boracay for their On-the-Job Training.
2013
• UC-CHTM co-organized the 1st Northern Luzon Conference of COHREP-CAR.
• UC-CHTM won Best Decorated Pavilion during the Session Road in Bloom.
2014
• The BS Tourism Management program earned its Level II Re-Accredited status from PACUCOA.
• The College launched the S.P.O.O.N.S (Serving People, Opening Opportunities, Nurturing the Society) as the official community and extension carrier of the college.
• Three community outreach programs were conducted. Tsinelas ni Juan project; Pagkain ni Juan project; Sandok kawali project.
2015
• The college explored opportunities to open short-term programs to address the growing and emerging demand for specialized courses. TESDA granted UC for TWSP Scholarship with slots for Bread and Pastry Production NCII and Housekeeping Services NCII.
2016
• UC-CHTM won Best Decorated Pavilion during the Session Road in Bloom.
2017
• Soft opening and operations of the UC-CHTM Tribu Café/Coffee Shop.
2018
• Deployment of 20 UC CHTM students who qualified for J1 Cultural Exchange Program to the US.
2019
• Strengthen community partnerships through Project UC HELEN with the Municipality of Tublay.
2020
• The college initiated monitoring and extended assistance such as food packs to stranded students within Baguio City until they were safely home and was also one of the partners of Green Pepper Dos Restaurant for their Food for the Frontliners Program for 35 days with 3, 226 beneficiaries.
